Purpose & Need
The temple campus consumes significant grid electricity for lighting, fans, kitchen equipment, and administrative functions. Transitioning to on-site solar generation with battery backup will cut costs, reduce emissions, and ensure uninterrupted power during outages.
What the Project Does
Installs a rooftop solar photovoltaic system with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to generate and store clean electricity for campus-wide use. Excess generation feeds back to the grid or charges the BESS for night-time use.
ESG Impact
E: Significant reduction in grid electricity consumption and CO₂ emissions. S: Energy security for the community. G: Metered generation data published monthly.
CSR Opportunity
Suitable for a CSR partnership under renewable energy or community infrastructure themes. Component-level sponsorship available for solar panels, inverters, or the BESS unit.
Beneficiaries
The entire temple campus — staff, volunteers, devotees, and residents who depend on reliable power for daily operations.
Transparency & Accountability
Monthly generation and consumption data will be published. Vendor selection follows a competitive quotation process with results disclosed publicly.

A temple that runs on the sun's energy is a temple that honours the Creator's gifts. Clean power is not just practical — it is a spiritual statement.
