Purpose & Need
The temple campus and access roads currently rely on grid power for lighting. Frequent outages leave pathways unsafe after dark. A standalone solar-plus-storage system eliminates grid dependency and reduces the electricity bill permanently.
What the Project Does
Installs solar-powered LED street lights with integrated Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the campus perimeter, pathways, and parking areas. The lights operate autonomously through the night and recharge during daylight hours.
ESG Impact
E: Reduces grid electricity consumption and carbon footprint. S: Improves safety and accessibility for all visitors. G: Transparent project accounting with public progress updates.
CSR Opportunity
A corporate or foundation partner can fully adopt this project at ₹2 Lakh, receiving naming recognition on the installed infrastructure and a dedicated transparency report.
Beneficiaries
Temple visitors, devotees, and residents — approximately 500+ people daily who use the campus after sunset.
Transparency & Accountability
All funds received are tracked in the public project ledger. Installation milestones, vendor invoices, and commissioning photographs will be published on this page.
Project execution by Xylem Foundations. All funds are managed under the Foundation's governance framework.
